The Princeton Review Redesign

A radical rethink of school search and test prep experience for the college and grad-school bound
The Princeton Review possesses a wealth of information and test prep courses for the college- and grad school-bound set. The problem is that finding the information that is relevant to me, a prospective student, is very difficult. The site needed to be re-framed through the lens of a user who may be in the early, exploratory stages of their school search.

This design incorporates a number of advanced features that help the user get to the information that is most relevant to them based on what we, The Princeton Review, know about the landscape of college and grad school admissions. Overall it provides a richer and more satisfying experience.

Homepage: From here a prospective student who may be exploring both law and business school can provide that bit of information, and the site can dynamically adapt to his or her preferences.

Along the top of the page, a dynamic "quiz" is introduced to allow the incremental collection of information from the user.
The more information you tell us, the more helpful we can be to you. Here we look at the admissions calendar, average SAT scores for the schools you have expressed interest in and present it in a comparative way that provides context to everything that you as a student need to be thinking about.
Researching schools is one of the most exciting aspects of the admissions process. It can also be very time consuming. This provides a way for students to view their school matches, see at a glance the key statistics about the schools, rate them according to their preferences, request brochures, create lists, and a lot more. It saves a lot of time by packaging providing the right tools for the college search.
This example college profile shows how data and rich media can be presented to the user that takes the user's personal attributes and context in to account.
